Ads kicking me all over the blog page on other blogs…

  When I’m trying to leave a comment on a blog that is showing the ads in the space below the likes, a few words into the comment I am kicked BACK up the page to the ads as they change to different ads. It took me a good three or four minutes to post a one-sentence comment on two different blogs yesterday. It happens nearly every time I run into a blog with those ads on it. Is there a way to make that NOT kick me out of the comment box? It’s extremely frustrating and at times I’ve just said to heck with it and exited the blog.

  Good morning!
  Which blogs are causing this difficulty? What are you using for a browser, and have you tried a different browser to see what happens?

  Hi Dave. The two worst blogs have been Anna Cottage at annacottage.com and Atypical60 at atypical60.com though there have been others. I just this second realized these are not wordpress.com addresses. Could that be part of the problem? I’m using Chrome, I’m primarily on my Chromebook. I haven’t tried another browser at all. But if it has to do with the addresses, perhaps that won’t help anyway?

  Hi again
  I turned off my ad blocking and tried it on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, as well as my android phone with Chrome and had no issues. Perhaps it is a device-specific bug?

  Hi there
  Hair color is irrelevant really – it’s the heart that counts. You could try using a different device. If the chromebook is all you have, there may be some configuration options that would prevent it from doing this. I recommend you try googling “chromebook ads” and see if any of the suggestions might suit your needs.

  Okie dokie. I’ll do some googling, and if that turns up nothing, my courageous heart and I will run into his lordship’s office and see if it happens on his PC. I appreciate the suggestions. Thanks for the timely answer. :)
