  I applied for an invitation to have ads on my blog but never received the email. If I did receive it, I’m worried I may have deleted it by accident in my spam. Can it be resent? I’d like to have ads on my site.

  Hi there!

  I’m seeing in our system that you applied to WordAds just two days ago. We do have people that look over the applications, but keep in mind that in can take several weeks (sometimes longer) for us to process them all.

  Just keep your eyes open for an email. (We haven’t sent anything yet, so it wasn’t caught in your spam folder.)

  Thanks for your reply! I didn’t realize the process was so extensive…I figured it was just a computer automated response. Do applications ever get rejected? And if so, why?

  Applications can be rejected for a number of reasons. For example, if the site has mature content or is private (i.e. not publicly viewable).

  We also look for a minimum level of traffic to the site, so if the number of readers is too small, the application may be rejected on that basis. This is more subjective than the “no mature content” requirement of course, but there’s still a threshold there.

  I don’t know all the details either, since I am not one of the staff members who goes through the applications. The #1 rule in these sorts of situations is simply “Be patient”, we’ll get around to processing all the applications sooner or later. :)
