ads on free blogs
-
The ads that are run on blogs that are free are showing up to logged in users. According to WP, they are not supposed to. They are also only supposed to be intermittent, but they seem to me to be more frequent than what I would like.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What the heck! I see them everywhere, when I’m LOGGED IN! First, I resent that this was not announced. Was WP hoping not too many people would notice? I think the right thing to do would have been to send notices to all free account holders implementing this change and offering the ad free upgrade, instead of just letting people find out on their own. I’m not supposed to see ads when I’m logged in, but I see the ads on mine, and on others. Annoying.

Uh, I think what you’re seeing is not a WP.com thing but the result of some browser add-on. Upload a screenshot so we can see. The only WP.com ads that will show to logged-in users are the WordAds ads.

I wonder if something local was happening in your internet session. I checked out your blog – logged into WP and not – and didn’t see any ads. Hopefully for you it won’t happen again.
I appreciated your posts as well. As a father I too have been really struck by recent events and items like your posts are refreshing to read and help re-align what’s important.

I can confirm there are no ads visible to me on your site. Disable your browser add-ons and re-enable them one by one to see which is responsible for these ads, then delete it.
