Ads on my blog

I see ads being displayed on my blog. I am not getting revenue for this nor was I informed about this.
Is this supposed to happen?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com sometimes display advertisements on your blog to help pay the bills. This keeps free features free! The ads your viewers will see are determined by their location, browsing histories, and other factors.
To eliminate ads on your blog entirely, you can purchase any of the paid plans. See https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/ for more details.
See https://wordpress.com/plans for the details of all WordPress.com paid plans.

Hi gayathripadmam,
Sometimes WordPress will display ads on the free sites. You can read more about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/
This forum is the best first place to go for help with an issue on your site. So you are in the right place! You can also visit https://en.support.wordpress.com/ and scroll down to the “Get Help” button if your question is not answered on the forum or in a search on the support page.

Hi @gayathripadmam,
I love poetry and your blog is really charming and kind. I’m following it for now.
Into WordPress, if you have a free account, the ads will show up… but they usually do not impact the reader’s experience that much.
Paid plans upgrade your WordPress with storage, design options, and a custom domain.
A plan will also remove ads and enable audio and video uploads. For that you can click direct here and select a plan: https://wordpress.com/plans/
To get some revenue on the ads, what I think it can be very interesting, you can check here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/
Hope it helps.
