Ads on videos? Misleading, WordPress. Not good business.
-
By purchasing the video upgrade for $60 on my blog, I did know there were ads on the videos. To be honest, I would have just used a different blogging platform altogether. This is false advertising and misleading to your customers. If you’re going to charge $60 for a video upgrade, you REALLY should let us know before we purchase it that readers will have to watch ads. It’s incredibly bad business.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Mary,
Can you send me a link to a video that is showing ads? We don’t add ads to VideoPress videos (as you said, it would be really crummy of us to charge you $60, then throw in ads to the videos).
Since your blog doesn’t have a “No Ads” upgrade, there may be ads at the end of the post for a percentage of logged-out users—but they’re not embedded into your content, text or video.

You’re right, the ad isn’t on the video. I saw the ad warning as I was loading my video and thought it was telling me that visitors would watch ads on the videos. Thanks for clarifying. That’s a big difference!

You’re welcome! If you have any other questions or need anything else, please let me know! Cheers!
