Ads pulling focus when they refresh (chrome)

A reader contacted me and said that they were pulled up/down to the ads from where they were reading every time the ads refresh (about every 10 seconds). I want to fix this problem.

Hi there,
The ads WordPress.com displays don’t affect the browser’s behavior the way you describe it. Our ads load with the page and don’t change unless the page is refreshed. The 10 seconds refresh intervals you’re describing indicate that these ads are not served by us and may be caused by a malware infection on your visitor’s computer.
Can you please ask your visitor to provide us with some screenshots to better evaluate the issue? Here’s how to take a screenshot and upload it:

Hi, the visitor does not have a screenshot yet b/c the issue is dynamic and infrequent.
He shared some more info on the problem via email:
1. It’s not a reload issue. It appears to be associated only with auto play (or maybe mouse over video), and WP doesn’t seem to feed many of those.
2. It’s browser specific- Chromium. Firefox isn’t a problem. If he copies and pastes the url to FF, everything is fine.
3. He is running Chromium Version 61.0.3163.79 (Official Build) built on Ubuntu, running on Ubuntu 16.04 (64-bit). -
