Ads showing up on website
-
My website has ads showing up at the bottom, and I can’t figure out why. Some pages have banner ads at the bottom, and others are also showing ‘Sponsored Content’ (none of which are actually sponsored; we do not want ads on our site). Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks in advance. :)

Hi!
So, your site has a now defunct WordPress.com plan (Starter) that did not include the “no ads” upgrade:
https://wordpress.com/support/no-ads/#remove-ads
This is actually easy to fix (and at no cost to you). Our current entry level paid plan (Personal) costs less per year than the Starter plan AND includes the No-Ads upgrade. So if you go to this URL and choose to “upgrade” to the Personal plan, you shouldn’t be charged and won’t see ads going forward:

HOWEVER…
I’m not seeing any upgrades associated with the WordPress.com user account you are posting from. This typically happens when you’ve ended up with a second WordPress.com user account and that second account is the one that owns the upgrade. You’ll need to log into THAT account in order to make any changes.
If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:
Account recovery overview – https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
Lost password tool – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Account recovery form – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recoveryFinally, even if you do not have access to the correct account, if you have your payment information you can use our “Why was I charged?” tool. It was built for situations such as this:
This was a lot of info to throw at you so please let us know if anything is unclear or you have any further questions.
