  Hi. I’m trying to add adsense ID so I can monetise my site.

  ‘Copy and paste the publisher ID below into the AdSense setup page in WordPress.
  Your publisher ID’

  How do I do that please?

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can’t use Adsense on the wordpress.com platform unless you upgrade to the Business Plan.

If you upgrade to our Premium Plan or higher, you are entitled to Wordads, https://wordpress.com/support/monetize-your-site/#advertising-via-word-press-com

  Hi. So to enable the publisher ID above from Google to work I first need to upgrade?Otherwise WordPress won’t allow it?

  Indeed.

  Before doing so, you must know you won’t earn that much money from Adsense to cover the costs of a Business Plan. I would say Wordads is the best option, https://wordpress.com/support/monetize-your-site/#advertising-via-word-press-com
