Add topic to favorites
Can I use Adsense with a CSS upgrade?

If not, how can I incorporate this into my blog. I have read a bunch of different things.

Just after something clear-cut.

If this is the blog you are asking about, http://fastmetrics.wordpress.com, then advertising by users, is not allowed here and is against the terms of service.

If advertising is desired, you would have to either self-host a wordpress installation, or move to a different blogging platform that allows ads.
