AdSense

How do you use adsense with worpress blogs?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
You don’t: it’s both impossible AND against the terms of service. You can run them on a blog using WordPress software that is NOT hosted by WordPress.com.

yet another reason to stay away from wp, first no iframes (so no third party ads), then no adsense. Could wp give us some slack, so sometimes in the future it becomes useful to use some ads revenues to pay for the extra services
Too bad I realized this after opened my blog here, but is good to know now and not after years using it.

@aafg69, you are probably better off at blogger. WordPress is for people who want to blog, and there are 2.6 million here that are doing just that. They do it for the passion, not for making pocket change. The vast majority of bloggers who advertise make $100 or less per year advertising.
Also consider that according to surveys, people are getting very tired of seeing ads all over blogs and sites, and the number of people downloading and installing ad blocking plugins for their browsers, so they do not have to see them, is growing by leaps and bounds. As of last month, Adblockplus had been downloaded nearly 61 million times. The month before it was at 56 million.
I’ve been using adblock for nearly 2 years, and in that time I’ve seen virtually no ads. If I do, I just zap them and then never see them again.
Everyone I know that is doing advertising on their blogs is seeing their ad revenue steadily going downhill over the past year or so, and I expect that trend to continue.

As someone who earns a living from advertising on blogs, I’ve got to say that anyone who bitches about WP.com terms of service AFTER signing up isn’t likely to be intelligent enough to earn any decent money from advertising in the first place.
If this is supposed to be a business, do your due diligence. Duh.

And WordPress has said this – if they give you everything you currently have (without any upgrades), why should you make money by using a free service?
-
hi,
if i upgrade my wordpress.com account to “No-ads”, can i add adsense? No ads is yearly $29.97 and i read that “The ad code tries very hard not to intrude on your design or show ads to logged-in readers, which means only a very small percentage of your page views will actually contain ads.”
do you have any idea?
-
Uh, the No Ads upgrade REMOVES ALL ADS. It does not allow you to add your own. There is no upgrade, other than the $600 per month VIP program, which will allow you to add ads.
