Zumie, I am new here and still learning all of the rules and I am pretty sure it clearly states that we can not use adsense or anything of that nature – but also says they may be trying out something with I want to say adsense where the blogs with 50,000 hits a month or more (if I recall correctly) can apply for adsense and wordpress will split it 50/50 with you or something of that nature. I remember reading it. ;) I don’t think I was any help. but hey it is my first post in a forum and I am just getting started myself, but this is something I do remember reading.

I personally had no desire to have adsense at this time anyway, however if I were to eventually have a non wordpress.com website in addition to my current blog that I have my domain here on wordpress, is it acceptable to link to my other website/blog or whatever it may be even though the other domain has adsense?
This question sparked in my mind because a friend of mine has adsense on their page and I was curious if it would be okay or if it would be against tos to include their page in my links section.

You can link to sites that have ads on them, as long as the whole point of your blog isn’t to drive traffic to those sites and make them money by giving them pageviews.

Great bit of information, thank you. That is not my intention at all. I am still new to all this, I do not even have my links list compiled yet.

These are links to helpful support documentation entries:

When in doubt – ask Staff, like Mark above ^.
