Im a bit thick with computers! Can I put adsense on my blog if I buy a domain say of godaddy? then will adsense work or can you not use it at all or do i have to upgrade wordpress to use it? So basically I will be using wordpress to post my blog but it will be on a .com domain. Im puzzled?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You aren’t allowed to initiate advertising at all on any WordPress.com blog. You need to hire a web host and set up your own WordPress.ORG install to run ads. There is no upgrade that changes that reality.
