You are not integrated with adsense? So you get to run ads on my content, but I do not get a cut?
    Maybe, I missed the plugin.

Advertisements, including those from third-party advertising networks like Google AdSense, OpenX, Lijit, BuySellAds, and Vibrant Media are not allowed on WordPress.com.

If you would like to run these types of ads on your blog, consider the following options:

    • We have a feature called WordAds that lets WordPress.com bloggers with moderate to high traffic and appropriate content turn on ads and earn money from their blogs.
    • You can run any ads you’d like if you manage your own WordPress installation. More info, including hosting recommendations, can be found at get.wp.com.
    • WordPress.com VIP sites are permitted to run ads.

    More info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/

The limited ads that WordPress.COM runs on a “free” blog are to offset the cost of not charging you for hosting

You can apply for wordads, wordpress.com own advertising network.

Similar to adsense, your application will be reviewed and approved manually, depending on your site traffic and content.
