Adsense code doesn't work in text widget

    Two quick questions:

    (1) I tried to copy and paste the Google Adsense code (both asynchronous and synchronous) but neither seem to work. When I paste and save the asynchronous code, it changes to a different one after the save. When I paste and save the synchronous code, it disappears altogether after the save. Consequently, the Adsense doesn’t work. What is the solution? Kindly guide!

    (2) The plugins option doesn’t show up either in the Dashboard or in the Appearance menu (which includes Themes, Customize, Widgets, Menus, Header, Background, Custom Design, and Mobile options only).

    We cannot use Google Adsense on WordPress.com sites.
    We cannot use plugins on WordPress.com either.
    Even though you have a domain upgrade, you are still hosted here on WordPress.com and subject to the Terms of Service you agreed to when you signed up for a free blog; and you are still using the software for WordPress.com.
