Adsense Code working?

    Hi,

    I have just started a new blog paying for wordpress premium and a domain mathstextbooksolutions.com and want to get adsense working with it. I have got an adsense account that is currently being verified, and says I should start putting ads into my webpage. I have done this by using the ‘text’ widget and placing the code in this widget.

    When I then go on my website I can see the widgets but they aren’t really displaying ads. They just seem to be showing a bit of the code and a bit of a line with an html link.

    Is this because my adsense account isn’t yet verified, or is there something else going on?

    I can’t get a screenshot on this PC (work pc) unfortunately but if you’re not sure what I mean and want to help then do pop to the website for a moment and it should be obvious!

    Hi Tom,
    The problem you’ve run into is that Google AdSense isn’t allowed on a WordPress.com hosted site so the code is stripped out: https://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/

    You may consider moving to a self-hosted installation of WordPress where you can then use AdSense. For that you’ll need buy hosting and set up your site using the free software from WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/
