Adsense not working

  When I past the adsense text in my text widget, only code shows up, and no ad. I’ve done a ton of searching, and haven’t found anything that helps

  You are confusing WordPress.COM blogs like yours and WordPress.ORG software installs. No blogger initiated advertising for driving traffic to third party sites is allowed. PPC is not allowed. Affiliate marketing banners and any and all advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com are not allowed.

  The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.
