  Hello there,

  Firstly, advertising through third-party ad networks like Google AdSense or selling advertising space on your site, is only permitted on sites that have the WordPress.com Business and eCommerce Plans.

  With WordPress installations, you should use a plugin to insert your AdSense code. The plugin Google recommends is Site Kit and you can find it here:
