Advanced editing functions missing

On the editing toolbar, and in the options to edit images I’m not seeing all the tools I used to see.

The toolbar is missing the “paste from word” option. Not a big deal, really. But the image editor no longer has the options to change size of an image – I’m left to either click and drag, or go into the text editor and manually input the size there. I’m sure there are other changes that I haven’t noticed – these are just the ones I most commonly run into. I run several blogs here, as well as use WordPress.org to operate three other blogs, and I’m seeing this on all of them (it seemed to happen after the most recent update).

Are these functions going to be returned soon?

    Thank you!

    Hi Rochelle,

There were some recent changes to the Visual Editor and Image Editor. You can read more about those changes here:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-paste-as-word-button-has-been-removed-from-the-visual-editor?replies=4

Let me address your individual items below:

The toolbar is missing the “paste from word” option.

This was replaced with a “Paste as Text” button. You can read more about how it functions here:

    Microsoft Word

But the image editor no longer has the options to change size of an image – I’m left to either click and drag, or go into the text editor and manually input the size there.

There are currently two methods to resizing an image – the drag method you mention and then within the Image Settings. Both methods are covered here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-settings/#within-posts

Can you let me know if those functions work for what you’re looking for?
