Advanced Options
-
This is my first day and second hour of working with blogs so I am probably over-saturated with info. Either that or I’m missing something that is painfully obvious. My question is: How do I open the Advanced Options window? It’s supposed to be in the Write Post SubPanel, right? But where? I have read/am reading the Writing Posts [http://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_Posts] and Advanced Post Editing [http://codex.wordpress.org/Write_Post_SubPanel#Advanced_Post_Editing] pages but I can not find the Advanced Window [http://codex.wordpress.org/Image:Admin_Panel_Write_Post_Advanced_1.5.png].

Also, how do I make a hyperlink in this forum?
Obviously, it’s not the “typical” way (like other vBulletin Forum sites):
Blah -
When you say, Advance Window panel, I can hear BLOGSPOT dashboard in an echoe. Forgive me, but you can change the option by going to USERS -> YOUR PROFILE -> and at the bottom left you see “Personal Options”, by enabling the visual rich editor, you may be able to use the “advance option”.
I hope that helps.

To make a hyperlink, just put the web address here. There’s no need for
type things.
As for Advanced - are you thinking of earlier versions of WordPress? 1.5.x had a simple/advanced view. Now though it's all rolled pretty much into one with the only choice being what knoizki has said.

How do I find out which version of WordPress that I have (I just d/l’d it yesterday)?
Regarding hyperlinks for this forum, if I just paste http://bizadi.wordpress.com/ (my blog) will it read The End of Reason (title of my blog)? EDIT: Apparently not. Could someone please explain how to make a link in this forum? Other forum sites that are powered by vBulletin, for example have you do this:
The End of Reason
The text “The End of Reason” (without quotes) is the link to http://bizadi.wordpress.com/ .
Thanks for the help.

I am d/l’ing v2.0.2 now. I don’t have a server or my own web site (and I don’t really want one). I just connect to the net with PeoplePC dialup so I suppose that, for now, I can continue to update my blog at http://bizadi.wordpress.com/

You don’t have to download anything for a blog hosted at wordpress.com.
I think what you are looking at refers to the self-hosted blogs.
And to put in a hyperlink, first type the word that you want and then highlight it. Then choose the link button (look like a little chain). A box will open and then you type the url in there.
Forget VBulletin. Not used here. You can use HTML to put the link in manually.
Finally, I suggest you take a look at the FAQ as well as use the search function at the top of the forum.
Good luck!
