Adventure Journal posts not showing correctly

  Hello

  I am new at blogging. I cannot get my new posts showing on the home page as it looks on the example of Adventure Journal. The look where you only see a summary of the post and it looks like a small paper stuck to the home page with sticky tape. At the moment the whole post is showing and it is only on the background paper.

  Can someone please tell me where these settings are?

  The look where you only see a summary of the post and it looks like a small paper stuck to the home page with sticky tape.

  There are two seaparate things here. You can insert “the more tag” into your posts. When you do that only the beginning display on the front page of the blog followed by a read more link that when clicked will display the full post on its own page.

  The first post on this page you see http://adventurejournaldemo.wordpress.com/ is a post “of a different color” because it’s a sticky post that has been stuck to the front page of the blog. That means it will appear above all published posts always until the “sticky” designation its removed.

  Just a word of caution here. Sticky posts aren’t meant to be many in number and the best number to have is one. However, we have experienced some bloggers who made every post in their blog a “sticky post”. Don’t do that please or you will be back here looking for help to fix the mess created.
