I understand that I have a free plan, but does your ad have to be just above the main widgets? There are important information that is under very large advertising now. This is not cool
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Are you using a WordAds Program, or is this WordPress.com Ads itself?
I’m checking your site, and I don’t see any ads. If you can explain further, I’d be happy to help!
Cheers :)

I know what Starspolska is complaining about, since I just noticed the same problem tonight.
Why are there now 3 block advertisements on my front page? There are two under my first post (which is fine), but now there is another one just to the right of the other two ads, in my right widget column. Until tonight, there were only the two block ads that showed up at the bottom of my first post, which looks okay. However, the third block ad, which was never there before, is on top of the right column, pushing down the other widgets. Also, if I narrow my browser page, that particular block ad breaks the page…it overlaps the edge. It looks terrible.
Why has this changed? Why is there now a third block advertisement? And why are the three ads near each other? It overwhelms the top of the page. Viewers will notice 3 advertisements overwhelming the page, rather than my content and widgets. Is this an error?

Hi
I have the same issue. When not logged (https://jeanetteparkerjewellery.wordpress.com/) in I have suddenly an ad for WordPress blogs pushed down on right column, and on iPhone THREE ads for PHP developers before my left ID stuff shows.
What is going on? There have never been ads before.

Hi all, according to earlier forum replies from Staff https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/ads-on-the-blog-1?replies=14#post-3069730 the ads team is testing ad placement on free-hosted sites. I’ve tagged this thread for Staff attention, but if you can, please grab a screenshot of what you are seeing and upload it to your Media Library. https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
Ads on free-hosted sites are shown to logged out visitors and occasionally to a small number of logged in visitors. https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

HI all,
I have removed the sidebar ads on all of your sites.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

I’ve been having the same thing on my two sites. I don’t mind ads showing at the bottom of a page. But i’m now getting a long ad on the front page that completely messes up the look of the sites. On Tuesday when it first happened it was on the left of the page. I had to remove some widgets to get it to fit in right. Yesterday it moved to the centre of the page, and it looks awful.
I’v been thinking about upgrading to the personal plan on two sites, so they’re Ads free. The extra storage space will be useful too. This month I’ve paid for the renewal of the custom domain names on both sites.
The Personal plan comes with a custom domain name, something I already have.
If I purchase the Personal plan on both sites, I’ll end up paying for custom domain names that I don’t need, as I already have paid for the ones I want.
Is there a way getting the personal plan (cheaper) without paying for something I already have?

I have ads springing up all over the place on my tiny site. The one in the widget area has pushed all my information to the bottom. I know we have to have ads to use WordPress for free, but can we not choose where they appear on the page. My site is Ascot Horticultural Society,

Hello @allporsche, if you already have an upgrade like Custom Domain and then upgrade to the Personal plan through the Plans page of your site’s My Site Dashboard at https://wordpress.com/plans/allporsche.wordpress.com you should see the plan at a rate-adjusted price for the first year. Let us know if you don’t see that.
-
Hi justjennifer,
Its showing the price of $2.33 per month, is that the rate-adjusted price?
-
Hello @allporsche – If under Plans you see the full price crossed out with that price next to it, that’s the adjusted rate for your first year. All upgrade plans are paid for a full year at check out and auto-renewed unless you cancel. If you have any other question about this topic, please open a new forum thread as we’ve drifted away from the main focus here. Thanks.

Hi justjennifer,
Many thanks for you help, I’ve upgraded to Personal plan on both my sites, so hopefully I’m ad free now.

Good afternoon @fstat
I have the same problem as the other bloggers regarding the new advertisement. When not logged in, in addition to the usual ads beneath the post (which aren’t a problem), a large long advert appears above my widgets in the right hand sidebar – pushing everything else down. I tried closing the sidebar – transferring the widgets to the footer, but the new long ad pushed the first footer area widgets down. After having read other bloggers comments, I’ve reinstated the side bar so that you can see what’s happening.
Many thanks.
Kind Regards
The Lantern Room

I’m closing this topic because with each update everyone who’s subscribed gets an email and it is annoying.
If you have a similar issue with those ads please start a new thread and add the tag modlook to notify us.
Thanks!
