Advertisement and changing domains

  Hi there,

  I have been running my WordPress website for around a month now and recently my views are slowly starting to rise. With this, certain WordPress ads are now on my website, is this just something that normally happens?

  Also, when I set up my website I wanted the domain name ‘jpjournalism.wordpress.com’ but when I published the website it added an extra ‘com’ between ‘journalism’ and ‘wordpress.’ I have seen there is somebody with the domain name ‘jpjournalism.wordpress.com’ but is there a way where I can change my current domain name to another free one?

  Have a look at
  https://wordpress.com/support/changing-site-address/
  but note you can’t later change your mind and get the eariler address back.

  I forgot to mention that you will see ads on free sites. The only way to currently avoid the ads is to upgrade a free site to a Pro plan. However it is possible that the option of an ads-free upgrade may be considered in the future.
