  Would only getting a personal domain (Brunscity.com) and not switch to a paid plan be enough to not have any advertisements?

  In addition, this does not remove the WordPress.com footer credit or the Admin bar. That’s not allowed regardless of upgrades and is a Terms of Sevice violation.
