  My blog has suddenly started flashing ads… All are WordPress ads… How do I remove these ads?

  We display ads on all public, free sites on WordPress.com. It’s how we cover the costs of providing you with hosting services for free.

  If you haven’t seen these before it’s likely because you rarely look at your site while logged out – most of the time we don’t show ads to logged-in users on the site.

  You can remove ads from your site by upgrading to our Pro plan, though that plan also gives you the option to participate in our WordAds program, which lets you share in the income from ads on your site.
