  Can i get payment from advertising on my blog, and if so, how? I use the free version.

  Hi, I recently started a crochet blog. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to make money by advertising, like on YouTube where you can “monetize” your content. I am using the free version of WordPress for now. Thank you!

  If you have your own domain you can apply to WordAds, other than that WordPress.com doesn’t allow you to run adverts on your site.

  Thank you so much, @halluke, that answers it. To generate revenue I have to purchase a domain.
