  So reviewing the advertising stipulations…to use the amazon affiliate program widget, I’d have to host at Bluehost or Site Ground, correct?

  Hi there. You can use affiliate links here. The only restrictions are they should be related to your content, your site cannot exist for the sole purpose of posting affiliate links, and you may only use text links, not image links. https://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/

  The Amazon widget won’t work here, though, but that’s because of code restrictions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  If using the widget is a must, you’ll need to look at the self-hosted option using WordPress.org: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
