  Hi Guys
  I have a real estate web site, can I put a brief description on my blog ander a catergorie of Recent Listings for Sale & Rent and have a link to my web site when people click on it.

  I have just read the support forum, I take it I may be allowed to do it. I am also reading into it that I can point my domain to wordpress.com, oram I reading that wrong and I have to buy a domain to have links to my real estate web site.

  Hi Wayno!
  For putting your real estate listings with a link to them, I would talk to someone from WP so they do not mistakenly shut down your blog. I believe we are not supposed to technically sell items from our blogs.
  You can also map your domain name to your blog on WP. You can find the pricing on the left in your Dashboard, labeled ‘Upgrades’. While doing that, you will still be able to put your real estate links… if that is what you mean, of course!

  I am not really selling anything from my blog, it is just a link to my web site where they can get the full information of the property. On my blog it would have eg. Craigmore 3 bedrooms $250/week the link would take them to my web site page where they would get all the information regarding the property. Besides adding posts I am trying to figure out ways to use my blog to help my businees, without asking these questions I will be stumbling arround for a bit lol. Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated on ways to use my blog to help traffick to both sites would be appreciated.

  Just did it TT, I have been looking around at some wordpress.com real estate blogs and they have headings residential home for sale with a link to their web site so it may just be the way you promote it. I will have to wait for the answer from support.

  You need to contact staff. There are two different types of wordpress blogs. Those hosted here at wordpress.COM, and those that are self-hosted using the software from wordpress.ORG. Self-hosted blogs have no restrictions other than those put on them by the web host. Here at wordpress.COM, we have restrictions.

  A real estate blog, which has posts with links on each post sending someone to another site – at least in my opinion – is a violation of the TOS here. Look in the yellow bullet section under #2 in the TOS: http://en.wordpress.com/tos/ .

  What you are talking about is using a blog to drive traffic to another website. I’ve seen a number of blogs here shut down for that.

  Check with staff as Timethief suggests.
