Advertising is a Joke
-
I’ve noticed a major discrepancy between the clicks reported by the WordPress ad service and the actual traffic shown by Jetpack on my site. The ad service is claiming a significantly higher number of clicks than what Jetpack is registering.
This leads me to believe there might be something fishy going on. Has anyone else experienced this? It seems like a complete scam, and I wanted to warn everyone using WordPress to be aware of this potential issue.
Here’s the breakdown:
- Ad Service Clicks: 36 (10,000 impressions?)
- Jetpack Traffic to the Ad URL: 8
As you can see, the ad service clicks are way out of whack compared to the actual traffic on my site. On top of that, the impressions to clicks ratio seems way off compared to industry standards.
This makes me strongly recommend looking elsewhere for advertising solutions if you’re trying to drive traffic to your WordPress site.
Anyone else have similar experiences? Any advice on alternative ad services that are more reliable?
