Can someone tell me how to remove – or at the very least move adverts on my site? It is literally obstructing my entire page/ links. This is unbelievably frustrating.
Anyone there who knows- can someone help me resolve this please?

Hi there,
As your site uses the Free Plan, adverts will appear on your blog. You don’t have control on moving these adverts, but if you wish to remove adverts altogether from your website, you would need to purchase a paid plan: https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/
That being said, adverts that take cover your full page are not ideal. Is this a pop-up advert, or something which you can dismiss? Also, is this happening on http://ladyandthelampblog.wordpress.com/? If so, could you perhaps provide a screenshot and the browser/operating system you’re using?

Yeah I figured it was because I had a free account however I don’t have this issue on my other blogs just this one : dubaodubao.wordpress.com
I am using my phone right now and it’s the same issue – for some reason I cannot post my screenshot up. But I’m sure if you followed that link you would see what I am talking about.I used both safari and chrome to access it and it doesn’t seem like a pop up that can be dismissed…

Thanks for confirming. All of the adverts I’m seeing seem okay, but adverts shown vary significantly on numerous factors such as browser history and location, so that’s to be expected.
Adverts which pop-up and can’t be dismissed are not intended – are you perhaps being redirected to another website by any chance?
I’ve tagged WordPress.com staff to help you with this issue, but they may ask for the following details in order to try and track down the advert:
- Your device operating system and browser version
- The exact URL of the post/page where this advert appeared
- If redirected, the URL you were redirected to
- A screenshot of the advert
- Your IP address (please don’t post that in a public forum, you can upload an image of it to your Media Library where only staff will be able to see it)

You can upload your screenshot to a service like https://prntscr.com or https://snag.gy/ and then post a URL here to the screenshot of the advert. :)

Thank you! This seems less to be an issue with the adverts themselves, because I’m able to recreate this with a variety of adverts. It could be an issue with your theme, and I’ve made a note of it here, since this seems to have happened before: https://github.com/Automattic/themes/issues/36
Perhaps staff will be able to offer a solution for now. :)
