  I have one viewer of my Bird Club blog who claims some of the adverts he receives are offering to sell him email addresses.

  Is this possible?

  There are no such ads placed by WordPress.com. They can however appear to you or your visitors as the result of a browser add-on or toolbar or downloading anything that has adware embedded into it.

  All WordPress.com placed ads are easy to identify as this link accompanies them http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/

  Any other ads you see are not placed on the blog by WordPress.com. They are coming from a browser extension or toolbar.
