Adverts showing on website

  Hello. I created a WordPress website using an address with ‘WordPress’ in it, so it was free, and I am very appreciative for that! However I notice now, which is several months after I made it, there are now adverts appearing on the site. Is there a way to avoid this happening? Thank you! Look forward to hearing, Sheila Lisster

  Wordpress.com is showing ads on your site to keep your free site for free. To remove those ads, you must upgrade to the paid WordPress pro Plan, https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Thank you. I did except that reply – though I have had an ad-free sie for free for what must be years!
