Advice failed

    The advice given by WordPress regarding removing the Pride banner, did not work. I have written an email concerning this issue. Please remove this banner immediately and make it an option for users who wish to show their support.
    Additionally since WordPress felt it needed to make such a sweeping publicly enforced statement, WordPress should have the spine to withstand public backlash for their politically charged faux pas, without further inconveniencing it’s users who oppose this banner, by closing comments, and giving them poor service.

    As mentioned in other threads, the banner is temporary. It will eventually be removed.

    Threads are being closed as as the public WordPress.com forum is not the place for these discussions.
