Advice for creating premium content site

I have been using WordPress for a little over a year for basic web design and content management.
I am currently developing a new project that involves premium digital content and memberships that will be billed monthly.
I am looking for any advice or anyone with experience in setting this type of business up. So far I am planning on using the following set up:
A yet to be decided upon Membership plugin that supports content restriction, recurring payments (through PayPal), and personalized dynamic pages.
I anticipate that the I will have to write some custom code to accommodate the following workflow:
A member can login to their account and view their own personal messages from the admin as well as track progress and receive daily or weekly “assignments” to be completed and then receive feedback from the admin.
Is their a convenient way to keep these types of interactions compartmentalized on wordpress? Such that the user can update or record their mood, weight, or whatever other characteristic we need to record and then have access to them at a later time.
Please be honest of this sounds like too much for a wordpress site..

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. Your new project seems to be well beyond what WordPress.com is capable of, but I think you should explore having a self-hosted installation of WordPress.
