Advice on best theme and widgets to use

    Hi there

    Pretty new to this so advice on the following appreciated.

    I am looking to establish a local events listings website on wordpress. What´s on at the cinema, theater, gigs, etc etc…, where, when and for duration.

    Does anyone know of a specific theme, paid or free, that caters for this type of site. What widgets are available that would permit users to search on event type by date, to allow google maps overlay to show venues, etc etc?

    Well, essentially this can’t be done on WordPress.com. What you want is WordPress.ORG software on an independent web host, with a ton of plugins.
