Advice on my website?
-
Like many here, I created a website a year ago. The idea behind the site is to have informative DIY posts, new releases, and fun stuff about a specific (niche) car. I created this site to help me learn how to make a website and for fun but I’m now ready to take it to the next level and I’m not sure where to go from here. I have not posted much however I plan to change this. I am looking to “sharpen”/ improve the website and start generating some additional income from it. Any suggestions to generate more traffic and make my site better?

My advice is to do the following consistently.
1. CREATE high quality content that you truly could enjoy reading, watching, or listening too.
2. BE EVERYWHERE meaning participate in conversations on forums, Twitter, Facebook, anywhere you can find.
3. GIVE FIRST in any relationship this is the best approach. Especially for your subscribers. When talking on forums etc. make sure you never plug your blog. Give high quality help and conversation and people will naturally look you up and find your blog.
4 STAY CONSISTENT with your content and don’t beat yourself up if you fall behind. Don’t create a publishing schedule or social media schedule because you’ll just set yourself up for deadlines. Keep it casual and natural and you’ll do just fine!
