Advice / Opinions requested – facebook ‘sister’ page?

  Hi everyone, I hope I’ve picked the right forum for this question – I was just looking for some opinions really. My blog has been online for about three months, I’m enjoying publishing online, and I’m happy with how it’s going so far. I’ve published 11 or 12 essays / photo-essays, and within a week or two I should hopefully reach my 1000th visitor.

  I’ve noticed that the vast majority of my ‘referrals’ are from facebook – as I’m tending to share each post on my facebook page.

  I’m wondering whether you / the wordpress community, believe it is a positive thing to establish a facebook page, branded with the same logo as my wordpress site, to effectively run in parallel to the blog?

  I’d just be interested to hear what people think.

  Congratulations on your success so far! :)

  If you find value in using Social Media as a way to have readers visit your Blog, I can’t see why you wouldn’t go that route. It seems as though you already are aware that Facebook has helped you gain traffic to your WordPress blog, so I would say go for it :)

  Hey jbdynamicstasis,

  I personally think it is a great idea. Why not have as many ways to generate traffic as possible?
