  Affiliate linking is limited on the wordpress.com platform as you can read on https://wordpress.com/support/monetize-your-site/#affiliate-linking

  @gddorothea They used to have an affiliate program back in the early days (20 years ago). Nowadays though most websites are built using WP so there isn’t really a need for affiliate signups.
