affiliate link for book reviews

Hi, I just started a blog here on WordPress and one of the reasons I like it is the lack of ads. The primary reason I have my blog is for original content, and one of the things I do is book reviews, and other reviews that go along with my blog. I recently became aware of the amazon affiliates program, where you get a commission if someone clicks on the link and buys the product you reviewed. I read the guidelines that stated that if you have a legitimate blog, it would be okay to mention an affiliate link that talks about something that you reviewed on the blog. Where would you put the link so it complies with the policy? Would the link go in the actual post, or would you create a separate page in the menu for this? I haven’t signed up for anything yet, I am just asking for future reference, as I found some of the forum discussions on this topic confusing. Also, how do WordPress readers tend to feel about these sorts of links in reviews? Thanks for the help.

Does this answer your question? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/amazon-affiliate-linked-in-personal-uploaded-image-violation-or-not?replies=2#post-2073987

    1. WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.

    2. Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.
