Affiliate link with image

  Hi everyone,

  I am wondering if I can install a banner type ad on this site colourfulcactus.com, I have paid for the domain but not a “VIP” package.

  After reviewing the TOS and advertising policy, it clearly states that ads with images are not allowed. However, I am very unclear on if this is specifically on a blog address that includes the .wordpress.com? I read in another thread that it would only apply if that was the case (for example colourfulcactus.wordpress.com).

  I do not want to post it and have my blog suspended!

  No, you cannot.

  All blogger-initiated advertising is banned at WordPress.com.

  Hi @natafam –

  You cannot use banner advertising (image ads) on WordPress.com outside of our WordAds program, even with a custom domain. You may, however, use affiliate links provided they’re not linked to images (they can be linked within your text):
