Affiliate Linking: Free Plan or Business Plan

  Hello,
  I review books on my wordpress site and I would like to add affiliate links eventually with Amazon Associates.

  I am aware “text and image” ads are not allowed.

  Do I need to upgrade my free plan into business plan before I am allowed to insert text affiliate links or is it allowed in my current free plan?

  I wonder if @galois really meant to remind you of this link:-

  Monetize Your Site

  which says:-
  “Affiliate links are allowed on WordPress.com as long as the primary purpose of your blog is to create original content.
  When blogging about books you’re reading, music you love, clothes that strike your fancy, gadgets you’re drooling over, or whatever interests you and your readers, feel free to post relevant affiliate links using either text or images”.

  I’m sure you can do this with the free plan.

  According to the Monetize your Site support document, affiliate links are allowed on WordPress.com as long as the primary purpose of your blog is to create original content.
