Hi all. From what I ca find on support, affiliate links are allowed. http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
I just wanted to double check with some of the helpful forum members on what I would like to do.
My plan, if allowed, would be to add a text widget naming a few of the photographers and their books that have inspired me and include an amazon link. I want to do this as a widget so it doesn’t roll off the page.
Thoughts on this would be appreciated.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.
Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.

Dang, guess I didn’t read close enough. Glad I posted before doing anything. What I had in mind won’t work except in very few posts. Not a deal breaker for me. I’m happy here. I can live without the links.
