Affiliate Links
-
Hi there, I’ll just keep my question short. I was reading up on the Affiliate Links terms by WordPress.com, and was wondering if I can put up a link to a product on Amazon, as part of a post that I am writing. There is no monetary reward I am getting for putting up this link – It is solely for ‘reference’ purpose only (a suggestion for my reader on where to buy the product from/what it looks like, its description, etc.). I don’t want to be violating any T&Cs
Regards
Trevor

Yes, you can do that but the links must be text links only.
Re: affiliate links
http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/1. WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.
2. Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.

That link does not work for me. The bottom line is you cannot use any image affiliate links. See 2. above
