Affiliate logo and/or banner

Hi.
I know you can read about affiliate links and ads on the support pages, but the terms seems a bit undefined. Am i allowed to use logo’s and/or banners who lead to a affiliate site?I’m NOT talking about a third party ad-service like adwords etc., but a picture linking to another (affiliate) website. And, can i use this kind of picture in my header? (Banner) and/or in my side-widget?
Or am i just allowed to put affiliate logos/pics (linked) in my individual posts?

No blogger initiated advertising is allowed on WordPress.com blogs. The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

Bottom line: no advertising banners are allowed here at wordpress.COM.
