  I want find out if one affiliate banner from AshleyMadison.com is authorized with my account. The FAQ’s refer to a page who’s primary purpose is to drive traffic to a third party site. This would be one well placed, nonintrusive ad.

  If you require other advertising, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on advertising if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.

  Advertising outside of WordAds (including affiliate programs) at WordPress.com is not allowed.

  Ashley Madison, which is a website devoted to the sex trade, would probably not be on that list.
