Hello lidakon,
Affiliate links are allowed on WordPress.com as long as the primary purpose of your blog is to create original content.
I have affiliate links on my WordPress powered sites, so I possibly know the answer and I would like to help you, but can you please try to explain your question a bit further?
Cheers,
Gina -
Thanks Gina,
First can you have affiliates in the free program..? or you have to upgrade.. -
Hello,
Yes, you can monetize your site on WordPress.com but you have to keep in mind, the primary purpose of your blog should be creating original content.
Affiliate links are OK with a few restrictions, advertisements from third-party ad networks like Google AdSense are not allowed (you can do that if you self-host your WordPress site).
You can find all the details here: support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site

That code will not work on any wordpress.COM hosted site.
