Affinity : more than 5 panels on the homepage?

    Hi there,

    I like the Affinity theme very much. Thanks to Automattic for making it free by the way.

    I have 3 Questions :
    1) Is there a way to have more than 5 panels on the homepage?
    2) How can I get two half-columns instead on some pages?

    Last but not least : 3) If these 2 changes are not possible under wp.com, are they feasable with a self-hosted website using the theme downloaded from wp.org?

    Affinity is specifically built for 5 panels, so I’m afraid there isn’t an option to add additional ones

    Depending on what you had in mind, creating columns with HTML might do the trick :)

    You can use the HTML tab of the editor when working on your pages to modify the code of your page, adding in the columns.

    Depending again on your needs for columns, this is a possiblity. Adding more panels would likely be a little more involved, since the selection of the pages to be used gets tied into the Customizer – so you’d need to be pretty comfortable with PHP to make the necessary modifications :)
