Affinity theme header image is darkened
-
Hello,
My site http://www.forrestriesco.ca
I am using the Affinity theme and want the header image on all pages to appear at full brightness. The Opacity adjuster is set to 100% but the image is still darkened.
Thanks for your help,
Forrest

Hello,
You can Adjust the opacity of the Featured Images from Customize → Theme Options → General.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks! -
I think Opacity kept in your settings is 40%.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks! -
I’ve tried that already, but it still seems to fade the image.
Is there any way to edit it in CSS?
THanks,
-
Yes I was just adjusting it sorry, but it still fades it at 100%. It takes out some of the saturation of the original image.
Thanks,
-
1. Keep it 80%
2. Custom CSS is part of Custom Design, which is a feature of the WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans.

I do have a premium account, it just hasn’t published my domain yet. Bought it last night.
Is there any way to do this in CSS?
-
No you can not add custom/edit css in free plan.
If you have a issue with the image.
What I can suggest you is to keep opacity to 100 and edit the Image in any phto editing software according to your need.Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks! -
I do have a premium account. And I am looking to edit this in CSS as the image is still faded.
If you can help me that would be great, if not I will look elsewhere
Thanks,

Found the solution.
I changed the photo format to SRGb before uploading. So when I put it as the header it retained it’s colour.
THanks,
