Affinity Theme – header image won't update
-
I’m trying to set a different header image using the Affinity theme, however whenever I upload or select a different default-supplied image, the page flickers like it’s updated, but nothing changes. I’ve switched themes and tried multiple different images, but nothing works. I really need to be able to use a different image than the one that selected by default.

Nevermind, I just discovered that theme automatically set a featured image for my homepage without my knowledge and it was overwriting my global header settings.

Hi @sigynkitchen!
Glad changing the Featured Image did the trick – let us know if you need help with anything else in the future.

hi guys, having exactly the same problem. what exactly did you do to take off the automatic image? I cann’t change to my own image. thanks!

Hi @rodnushechka!
You’ll want to change the Featured Image for your homepage like @signykitchen did:
– Under My Site > Pages, edit your site’s front page (it is marked with a small house icon)
– Change the Featured Image using the Page Settings on the right. Swap out the current Featured Image for your own image
– Update the pageLet me know if you run into any trouble along the way! :)
