Affinity Theme pics too big on iPad
-
I love the affinity theme. I have it displaying correctly on my Mac, PC, and iPhone. But on my iPad the theme images are significantly too large (zoomed in).
My blog is shawnjnichols.wordpress.com

Hi there,
Can you please confirm the browser, including version number, that you’re using to view the site on your iPad when this happens?
And does it happen in portrait or in landscape mode?
Can you please also visit https://www.whatismybrowser.com/, and note down the Browser Window Size at which this happens?
-
It’s the Safari browser on my iPad pro 12.?” running iOS 11.4. Interestinly, it only happens in landscape mode. The website you asked me to visit reports:
Safari 11 on iOS 11.4
Computer Screen 1024 x 1366 pixels 32 bit -
-
Computer Screen 1024 x 1366 pixels
That does not sound right. On a 13″ Macbook Pro with Safari set to display full screen the dimensions show as 1335 x 797 pixels, so regardless whether your iPad was in portrait or landscape mode, those dimensions would indicate the iPad is bigger than a 13″ laptop screen.
Do you perhaps have your device configured to use a custom screen resolution?
I can’t replicate this issue if I view your site in a Safari window on my computer set to the same screen size, nor can I replicate it in the tablet preview in the Customizer, so I suspect some screen setting on your device itself might be confusing the theme’s responsiveness. Can you please check on that?
If you don’t find any setting that makes a difference to this, please let me know.

@shawnjnichols, I don’t have an iPad Pro, but as soon as my iPad Air 2 gets done updating, I’ll check your site.

I was unable to reproduce on my iPad 2, so this has something to do with the wider screens. I have a feeling of what it might be. I’m going to ping our theme developers on this issue and will get back to you as soon as I hear something.

We will be in touch once we have more news to share and the theme team has had a look over the report.
