Affinity theme – portfolio view
-
I linked one of the sites with the portfolio projects however I have some troubles with changing the way of displaying them. I would like to have one icon picture for each project which opens the rest of the it (this function is working) however all the pictures are visible under the main picture. I’ve been searching for any possibility of changing it but I have no idea how can I do it and if it’s even possible. Could anyone help me, please?
Im reffering to the “Reportaż ślubny” link on my website.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @ewelina1202,
You could insert a “more” tag at the very top of each of your portfolio items, before the images. A “read more” link will be inserted in portfolio archive page at the same position that you place.
If you insert the tag at the very top of your portfolio items, only their featured images and titles will display on the archives page.
You can read a little more about the “more” tag and how to add one to via your editor here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/
Let me know how you get on with that or if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Hi @siobhyb
Thank you for your answer!
I am acutally still not sure how could I apply this function to the site.
The site is linked to the “portfolio projects”. Each project has its own link which diplays the gallery and that’s fine however the main link: ewelinajanowicz.wordpress.com/porfolio displays both – the gallery icon and the whole gallery. I can’t find any place where I can modify it -is it even possible since it’s the free template?
Thank you in advance for your answer.

there was a misspelling in the link, the correct one:

Hi @ewelina1202,
You would insert the “more” tag in an individual portfolio item and this would insert a “read more” link alongside that item in the portfolio archive here:
https://ewelinajanowicz.wordpress.com/portfolio/
So, for example, first navigate to “Michał i Yuhong” and then select the option to edit:
https://ewelinajanowicz.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=458&action=edit
In the top toolbar of the editor, you’ll find an icon to “Insert Read More Tag.” For our purposes, the tag needs to be inserted at the very top of the editor. Save your changes once you’re done and a “read more” link will then appear alongside “Michał i Yuhong” on the archives page instead of its content.
Let me know if that’s clear or if you have extra questions.
